England Netball: Rising to the Challenge

The past year has been a whirlwind for England Netball after beating Australia, the world champions, in a tight final at the Commonwealth Games.

As the sport continues its rise in popularity in the country, the governing body has made the move to team up with SecuTix.

Joanne Sinclair, commercial director of England Netball, joined Managing Director of SecuTix UK & Ireland David Hornby on stage to discuss how the global SaaS ticketing and audience management provider plays a key role in fan base growth plans and increasing revenues.

With all eyes on the Netball World Cup on home soil, Sinclair said there will be 16 teams competing over 10 days with 90,000 tickets to sell.

In the past year, the governing body has had a major digital transformation, created a CRM central database and brought its ticketing in-house with SecuTix.

Sinclair added: “We wanted to own and control our data. This will give us more direct contact with our fans and allow us to better engage with our customers.

“If we want to inspire and empower more women to play the sport – we have to be completely ready (for the World Cup.) We tend to do everything at once, but we need to ensure our digital ecosystems are complete.”
