The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest cultural projects in the world. When completed it will include up to 17 arts and cultural venues, a park, waterfront promenade, retail and dining on a 40 hectare area of reclaimed land on Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour.

Opening in stages from 2015, the first phase will see the completion of the 1,100 seat Xiqu Centre, dedicated to Chinese Opera; The M+ museum – a new 60,000 square metre museum dedicated to visual culture; a black box theatre; a centre for performance with three auditoriums; and a new park offering stunning views of the Hong Kong skyline and space to accommodate live events for up to 10,000 people.

We caught up with Kingsley to give you a preview of his topic at TTF15 and his thoughts ahead of the Forum.park3-1200px

“At TTF15 I will be talking about the West Kowloon Cultural District’s plan to initiate an integrated omni-channel marketing system from scratch. This system will look after the ticketing CRM, admission control, fundraising, loyalty, social media and marketing planning for West Kowloon Cultural District.”

“I will also be drawing upon my experiences at Sadler’s Wells, where ticket sales accounted for 70% of the theatre’s income.”

“I am keen to return to the Forum again this year to keep up to date with the latest technology that is driving ticketing and the customer experience. This is an exciting time in ticketing, as technology is driving huge change within the industry.”

xiqu-centre-facade-w“Attending events like TTF15 is hugely important as it allows you to see what is on the horizon and also what is happening across the whole spectrum of ticketing – from theatre and museums to sports and attractions.”

“For me this is a once-a-year opportunity to see what the rest of the world is doing. I can meet, learn and share with colleagues from the world of ticketing.”

“Ticketing has evolved into a highly complex industry that increasingly takes advantage of data analysis, customer relationship management, social media and yield management, in order to increase sales and engagement. It is important to be aware of these latest developments as they impact every area of your venue business. Not just technology solutions, but also areas like budgeting, management/team structure, staffing, employee training, security and data privacy.”

If you’d like to meet Kingsley and learn more about the huge project he is master-minding, then join him and other leaders from the live entertainment ticketing industry, only at TTF15.
