#TBF25 Access Culture: Opening the doors for all
We’re going all-in on accessibility at #TBF25. At this year’s Forum our friends at All In and Indigo will share findings from the Access Culture survey, where over 7,000 disabled people shared their experiences of visiting theatres, arts centres, museums, galleries, festivals and cinemas.
Find out how these insights have helped shape All In, the UK and Ireland’s new access scheme for the creative and cultural sector, which will roll out in the second half of 2025.
Transforming accessibility
All In is the upcoming access scheme for creativity and culture, set to transform accessibility in the UK and Ireland. In partnership with Indigo and sponsored by pointOne, 85 organisations including theatres, museums and galleries sent the Access Culture Survey to their audiences and visitors to get up-to-date insight into the barriers faced by disabled people today and what more the sector can do to create truly inclusive experiences. The survey asked about the daily life of disabled people, how they book tickets and use technology, as well as how they plan their visits and the experience when they get there.
Hear from Phil Lofthouse, Tech Lead for All In, and Katy Raines, CEO from Indigo (pictured) as they discuss the findings from over 7,000 disabled audience members and visitors, and how this research shows why All In is a timely intervention to help the sector make real progress in ensuring that everyone’s welcome when attending our events and venues.
Get ahead of the roll-out
All In is set to roll out later this year, so this is an opportunity to hear the latest from this innovative scheme, including further details about the tools that will be on offer to improve the experience of disabled people when they are finding and booking events they would like to attend. We will also share insight into the UK and Ireland’s first accessibility standards for creativity and culture, which are being developed as part of the scheme.
All In is being developed by Arts Council England – in partnership with the other arts councils of the UK and Ireland – and uniquely in this session the Forum will share key findings from the crucial work to date but also let organisations know how they can prepare to benefit from what will be one of the biggest shifts in accessibility in the creative and cultural sector.
