In the countdown to #TBF22, we’re highlighting some of the VIP guests that will be joining us in Manchester for TheTicketingBusiness Forum in July. This time around, we spoke to Thom Sellwood, head of sales and ticketing at Hartshorn-Hook Enterprises.

Sellwood joined Hartshorn-Hook Enterprises in December 2020, where he took on the role of sales and ticketing manager. He stayed in this role until February of this year, where he became head of sales and ticketing.

Before joining Hartshorn-Hook Enterprises, Sellwood was a theatre revenue management consultant and a sales and ticketing manager for AKA Promotions. He also worked in the box office for The Book of Mormon on London’s West End, where he spent just over two years in the role.

TheTicketingBusiness: How is the restart going following the pandemic?

Thom Sellwood:We’ve been back in action since May last year and have dealt with so many challenges along the way. Now that confidence is returning we are seeing audiences eager to get back to theatre and booking patterns are even starting to return to normal.

TTB: What’s on the roadmap for the next 6-12 months?

TS:We are opening our latest immersive show, Peaky Blinders: The Rise this Summer with more high profile IPs being announced later in the year. We also have some very exciting international plans. As things return to normal, we’re so excited to reach new audiences and create new experiences for them!

TTB: What are you looking forward to most about the Forum?

TS:I’m very excited to see what exciting innovations are out there. We work in an industry with so much talent and ingenuity that can really help maximise our sales, and it’s great to see what’s out there, live and in person.
