Attitude is Everything (AiE)*, a charity that works with the music industry to improve access for deaf and disabled people, has published the results of nearly 300 anonymous shopping reports, interviews and questionaires between 2011-13.

They results showed that 95 per cent of disabled or deaf people experienced problems buying tickets, 88 per cent of people felt discriminated against, 83 per cent put off buying tickets “too many times to count” and 47 per cent considered legal action as a result of their attempts to buy tickets.

Ticketing agencies and venues were found to be nearly equally responsible for inaccessible tickets systems by AiE’s survey participants, due to there being limited availability of tickets, access information and proving eligibility.
