    Ashish set up BigTree Entertainment in 1999, with a clear focus of providing cutting-edge ticketing solutions to the cinema industry. In 2007, Ashish and his team launched BigTree’s most successful brand yet, BookMyShow. Ashish strove to make the brand a quick success, taking the market by storm, bringing the Cinema biggies like PVR, INOX and Cinepolis onto the portal.

    Ashish didn’t limit BookMyShow to cinema ticketing and soon built diversified business offerings in the sports and music space. This allowed many big brands like IPL, ISL, F1, Sunburn and Supersonic to use the BookMyShow portal for ticketing their events.

    Ashish’s strong passion and belief in his business model for BookMyShow, saw him bring on board investors Network 18, Accel Partners and SAIF Partners, who’ve together put in Rs. 300 crore in Venture Capital at a valuation of Rs. 1000 Crores. Ashish was quick to see that consumers in India favour the mobile over the PC and launched the BookMyShow mobile app getting the early mover advantage. By 2015, with more than 12 million downloads, the app accounts for more than 60% of the overall transactions making it one of the most successful apps in India.

    Lucy Chillingworth has worked for Ten Lifestyle Management for over 9 years, the last 3 years as International Head of Ticketing. After completing her BA Hons Arts, Music and Entertainment Management degree, she spent 2 years as a Marketing Manager for a regional theatre before moving to Ten.

    Day to day, Lucy is responsible for developing and maintaining global relationships with box offices, venues and ticket agents. Her talent focuses on devising operational and online strategies for key ticketing markets, providing easy distribution channels for suppliers and great inventory access for Ten’s ever growing member base.

    Claudio Trotta has deep musical experience: his career began with Radio Montestella, until 1975 when he joined Channel 96, where he first organised concerts. In 1979 he graduated at the Civic School of Dramatic Art as a musician, completing an internship at the Teatro alla Scala. Through television experiences (TeleRadioMilano 2) with Lucio Salvini (the then director of the Ricordi) at the launch of Country and Folk label, he became a promoter of concerts in Italy for the artists. Salvini later named him for Artistic and Marketing Direction at Carosello for the Blues & Rock Project. The name BARLEY, meaning “hops”, was born as a tribute that Trotta makes to his original passion (country and folk Anglo-Saxon). Claudio also edited the edition of “Music Dictionary of Milan” (1995) and was a member of the Board of Directors of various associations, such as ASSOMUSICA (Italian Association of Live Music Organizers and Producers – incorporated in the AGIS Association – founded in 1996) and YOUROPE (European Association of Live Music Organizer Organizers and Producers – founded in 1998).

    Katrin is a hands-on internet entrepreneur: Starting her career 20 years ago, Katrin has always focused on market opportunities in the internet. The ticketing service AD ticket (www.ADticket.de) is one of her success stories and recently merged with Reservix, one of the leading ticketing systems in Germany.

    Today, Katrin is director of product management, customer service and marketing at Reservix Holding. As she connects the departments and key figures, she has a vital role in the company and its 380 employees, 7,000 event organisers, 3,000 ticket agencies, and 300 partners.

    Mobile ticketing to tackle touts and improving the fan experience

    Lucinda has worked in live music for the past 20 years. Starting as Venue Manager at Newcastle University Students Union then moving on to Birmingham Academy, Islington Academy and more recently The Forum, Kentish Town. In between venue management roles, Lucinda was Group Marketing Manager for both the Academy Music Group and MAMA & Company.

    Her most recent position at MAMA was as Business Development Manager where she was responsible for managing the venue marketing team, venue promoters, supporting the Operations Director overseeing nine venues as well as managing partnered events.

    When Claire Turnham tried to buy Ed Sheeran tickets for her son’s 16th birthday, she thought it was going to be an “amazing” family experience. Instead, she says she was overcharged by £1,150, and the episode has led her to take up an effective campaign against Viagogo, the secondary ticket website she used. Claire set up the facebook group, Victim of Viagogo #VofV in February 2017 to support others who also feel they have been ripped off.     Eric Petrusic’s collaborative approach to problem solving, coupled with his extensive technology expertise, have played an integral role in the successful development and enhancement of accesso’s ticketing and payment solutions for the past 15 years.

    In his role as Chief Technology Officer, he acts as technical advisor across accesso‘s product lines, providing support and consultation on development efforts and technology infrastructure. Petrusic works to identify synergy opportunities with accesso solutions, and also leads the company’s long term product roadmap process.

    Eddie started her career in leisure and hospitality 15 years ago, after graduating from Bristol University, reading Business Studies with Tourism. Over her career she has launched and run attractions, venues and events in London and across the South East. Since 2005 Eddie has focused on attractions and held progressive, senior roles and taken commercial responsibility for driving businesses forward.

    In 2005 she became the Group Head of Communications & Business Development for Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks and The Aspinall Foundation. In 2014 Eddie was elected to sit on BALPPA’s management committee and she joined Dreamland as a CEO, focusing on building and launching the new visitor attraction. During her time there Eddie created and launched two major, award-winning festivals – Screamland and Frosted Fairground.

TheTicketingBusiness Awards were launched in order to recognise leadership, innovation & achievement in the application of ticketing across sports, performing arts, music, cinema, live entertainment and visitor attractions. In 2017 we received more than 300 nominations, and more than 3,000 votes. Nominations for TheTicketingBusiness Awards 2018 will open in September 2017.
